About Our Aussie Chapter

Hi, and welcome to Our Aussie Chapter.

This is a space for practical, honest information about living, learning and building a life in Australia.

Living in Australia comes with plenty of questions — whether you are already here, planning a move, considering study, raising a family, or simply trying to understand how everyday life works.

Here, I share real-life insights and useful information about Australian life, education, family, Brisbane and Queensland, as well as the practical things that often take time to figure out when you are new to Australia.

You’ll find articles about topics such as:

  • everyday life and costs in Australia
  • schools, education and study
  • Brisbane and Queensland living
  • family and parenting
  • settling into life in Australia
  • practical services, systems and everyday experiences

My background in education has also shaped the way I look at many of these topics. I’m particularly interested in learning, language, children and families, and how people adapt to a new education system and way of life.

Our Aussie Chapter is not about presenting Australia as perfect. It’s about sharing what I learn along the way — the useful things, the confusing things, the things I wish I had known earlier, and the information that might make someone else’s Australian chapter a little easier.

Whether you’re already living here or thinking about starting your own chapter in Australia, I hope you find something useful here.

Thanks for visiting.
